Larry Bloom has been working with Credit Unions since 1973 and has served in many capacities over the years as a Sales Executive and Manager for several large hardware and software vendors, as well as, served as VP - Business and Community Development for Delta Community Credit Union, a $4+ Billion Credit Union in Atlanta, GA. Bloom brings this valuable knowledge and experience to Credit Unions and can help them implement creative, forward thinking, innovative solutions to increase efficiency and solve critical problems.
Prior to the Bloom Group, Bloom spent 6 years at Delta Community Credit Union overseeing their Business and Community Development efforts. This involved working with 185 SEG's including Delta Air Lines, Chick-fil-A and UPS, 23 Chambers of Commerce, 9 High Schools, and 21 Elementary Schools while managing a staff of 7.
Before joining Delta Community, Bloom spent 10 years as the Symitar Sales Executive responsible for Credit Union sales in 7 states in the Southeast including North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Previously he spent 6 years with USERS Incorporated as their Major Accounts Manager for Credit Unions in the U.S. Other Sales/Management jobs were held by Bloom with Citicorp Information Resources, Data General, and Burroughs Corporation. Bloom also spent 5 years teaching Math and coaching basketball and football before starting his sales career.
Bloom has been married to his wife Linda for 47 years, has three grown children, three granddaughters and five grandsons. He is an avid fly fisherman and hopes to teach all of his grandkids to fly fish. Bloom is active in his church and serves on its host team.
Bloom has a B.S. in Math Secondary Education from Penn State University.
